Teachable pricing is $39, $89, or $189 a month, or $29, $69, and $139 billed yearly, and the $39 plan takes 7.5% of every sale. That fee is the whole story: above about $533 a month in sales, Builder at $69 is cheaper than Starter. There is no free plan any more.

What changed in 2025
Between mid-June and mid-July 2025 Teachable retired the Basic, Pro, Pro+, and free plans and moved existing creators onto Starter, Builder, Growth, and, per the help centre, an Advanced tier that the pricing page now shows as Custom. The new plans cap products and put a 7.5% fee on the cheapest tier. If your bill doubled last summer, that is why.
Teachable fees, in dollars
On $2,000 a month in sales, Starter costs $39 plus a $150 fee, before card processing. Builder at $89 has no fee. The break-even is $533 a month on annual billing, or $667 on monthly. Above it, Starter is the more expensive plan.
Processing sits on top of every plan: 2.9% plus 30 cents for US cards, 3.9% plus 30 cents international, and 3.49% to 4.99% for PayPal. The 0% on Builder and Growth applies when you use Teachable’s own payment gateway.
Product caps
Five products on Starter, ten on Builder, fifty on Growth. Bundles count as products, which is how creators with a few courses and a couple of bundles found themselves over the Starter cap in 2025.
