Podia pricing is $42, $84, or $150 a month billed yearly, and the cheapest plan takes 5% of sales and caps your email list at 100 subscribers. Shaker at $84 removes the fee and lifts the cap to 500. The free plan is gone; Podia removed it in October 2024, and monthly billing costs more than the yearly rates shown here.

What changed
Podia removed its free plan in October 2024 and published its reasoning: a free plan made it too easy to build without launching. The cheap entry tier went with it. Reviewers also describe video hosting limits appearing without notice. Monthly billing exists; Podia’s own comparison pages put Mover at $49 on monthly billing.
The 5% fee
At $840 a month in sales, Mover’s 5% equals the $42 jump to Shaker. Above that, Shaker is cheaper. At $2,000 a month the fee is $100 on top of the $42 subscription, before Stripe or PayPal take 2.9% plus 30 cents.
The email subscriber caps
One hundred subscribers on Mover, five hundred on Shaker, a thousand on Earthquaker. Podia sells extra subscribers as an add-on above those, priced on its calculator. For most creators the email cap, not the fee, is what forces the upgrade: a single lead magnet passes 100 subscribers in its first month.
Trial and billing
Thirty days free with every feature and no card. Yearly plans are billed up front. Cancel before the renewal date; refund complaints on review sites are mostly about the yearly charge.
